Since its inception in 1983, the Florida Adult Day Services Association (FADSA) has provided leadership, advocacy, education, planning and development of adult day services in Florida. The Association is highly regarded and respected within the aging network as a leader in the long term care continuum. Through the promotion of quality day services ranging from respite and social programs to comprehensive adult day health centers, FADSA is shaping the way of home-based and community services. Adult day centers are designed to serve adults who desire social interaction, are elderly, frail, have health problems, mental or chronic illness, and are developmentally or physically disabled or have cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory disorder. FADSA believes that the future for adult day services is filled with excitement and promise as more people become aware of the tremendous value providers offer and the benefit to those who receive our care.
